OUR STORY

Providing Innovative Solutions to Community Issues

Soon after beginning Ransom ReProgram in 2015, we realized the need for participants to be able to rapidly attach to a job and have a source of income. Our leadership began praying about ways we could create an employment social enterprise (ESE),

and Ransom Recycling was born.

An ESE is a social enterprise or a business with a social mission that applies commercial strategies to maximize social impact. An ESE embeds a transitional jobs program into its social enterprise to more effectively serve marginalized populations.

ABOUT RANSOM RECYCLING

Recycle provides eligible ReProgram participants and/or graduates, the opportunity to work in an entry-level position, and be mentored while recycling electronics. They have the opportunity to earn a legitimate wage while getting the life skills, and job readiness training that will help them become an excellent employee. The goal is to prepare our participants, to obtain a better job in their chosen career field. We want them to excel, and become all God created them to be.

Ransom uses the "ABC Model" in Recycling

Long term success is achieved when former participants sustain a fulfilling career.

The ESE facilitates employment for those unlikely to be employed in the competitive job market then transitions these workers to better employment opportunities.
